How? For whom?\u00a0<\/em>is taking place on the<\/strong><strong>4th &#8211;\u00a05th April 2013, in Quimper, France<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers in the Social and Human Sciences (SHS) investigating the sustainability of our modes of collective organization are faced with fundamental questions. Dialogue between the various disciplines within the SHS is unavoidable, as is exchange with researchers in the life sciences. Even if there currently exists a general consensus on the reality of a multidimensional ecological crisis (radical climate change, depletion of resources, loss of biodiversity\u2026), the positioning of the social sciences researcher is more controversial.<br \/>\nThe aim of this conference is to give researchers in all areas of SHS (management sciences, economics, sociology, the philosophy of science, political science, law, psychology\u2026) the opportunity to dialogue on these questions: what position should they adopt on the issue of sustainability? Challenges and Critiques of the EU Internal Security Strategy &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><strong>17th May 2013 at the University of Abertay Dundee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to addressing ongoing issues in cross border policing, the EU\u2019s Internal Security Strategy has highlighted new areas for development within the EU cross border law enforcement framework. Changing political, security and economic realities are also having an impact on the EU law enforcement landscape, law enforcement practitioners and transnational criminals. This Policing and European Studies will be holding its fourth conference in order to explore these changes.
